The harp is one of the loveliest instruments to listen to and even in the earliest stages of learning it is possible to make a pleasurable sound. This is why it lends itself to being a great choice of instrument for children.

Traditionally, the harp has been considered an instrument only to be played by a privileged few but in recent decades increasing opportunities have opened up harp playing to the wider community. I am pleased to announce that from September 2011, the opportunity to learn to play the harp will be open to the children of Tunbridge Wells.

Lessons will be offered to students individually or in groups of 2 or 3, and will be paid for monthly to avoid a huge bill at the beginning of term. They will last for 25 minutes and will take place 3 times a month on a Saturday morning or after school during the week.
